What Is TCF Canada?

The Test de connaissance du français pour le Canada (TCF Canada) is an official French proficiency test recognised by IRCC alongside TEF Canada. It is created by France Éducation International (FEI) and endorsed by the French Ministry of Education.

TCF Canada evaluates four skills — reading, listening, writing, and speaking — and maps results to NCLC levels for Canadian immigration. It is accepted for Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Programs, and citizenship applications.

Results are valid for two years. TCF Canada can be combined with IELTS for the bilingual bonus CRS points in Express Entry.
