The Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE) are official Spanish language diplomas by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education. Since 2002, DELE has been offered at over 1,000 centres across 130+ countries.
DELE offers six CEFR-aligned levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2. DELE certificates never expire — they are lifetime diplomas. DELE B2 is the standard for Spanish university admission, and DELE B1 has been required for Spanish citizenship since 2015.
The cost ranges from US$110 to US$185 depending on level. To pass, you need a minimum score of 60 out of 100, with skills grouped into two scored groups.

DELE Levels
Each level is a separate exam. Skills are grouped: Group 1 (reading + writing) and Group 2 (listening + speaking). You need 60% in each group.
